Precinct Volunteers Needed
The strength of any political organization are the precinct volunteers that go door to door talking with voters and ultimately getting Republican voters to the polls on election day. Schaumburg Township lists 106 precincts and many precincts need volunteer precinct captains to help us cover them. There are open precincts in Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, and Schaumburg.
The work is not complicated and is highly rewarding while representing the Republican Party in your neighborhood. Most precincts have six to eight streets to cover and precinct captains typically go door to door talking with neighbors identifying who are Republicans and who are Democrat voters. Then precinct captains focus on getting Republican voters to vote on election day.
Schaumburg Township has traditionally been a Republican stronghold but has been allowed to weaken from a disinterested leadership; 2008 being the first time in nearly forty years without an incumbent President or Vice President running for President. Having dedicated Republicans working in all 106 Township precincts will be invaluable to help elect Republicans on both the national and local level.
If you are interested in volunteering, call Committeeman Michael Adelizzi at 847-891-1763 or email him at mmadelizzi@hotmail.com
Dear Fellow Republican
It is a great time to be a Republican. With the Democrats in total control over our state and county we have witnessed a paralysis in our governmental agencies. Democrats propose record new taxes increases in Washington D.C. In Springfield they can’t seem to agree on anything except on how to tax and spend more. And never before have we seen such infighting that has paralyzed our state. Democrats in Cook County have proposed unprecedented tax increase that would make our county in an elite level of our own as one of the highest taxed communities in the nation. Everywhere they have control, especially in our state, they fight among themselves and the only solutions that they offer is to tax, tax , and tax some more.
It’s a great time to be a Republican especially as our candidates will be offering reasonable solutions to the problems that the Democrats have created come the November elections of 2008. It will be a great time to be a Republican next November
It has been a few short months since we embarked on building a strong and vibrant Republican Party here in Schaumburg Township. We are building an organization that we can all be proud of and one that quality candidates could count on to help get them elected.
We have already accomplished so much. We have been conducting our monthly breakfast meetings and have heard from candidates seeking election to the Illinois House and the U.S. House of Representatives. We had the pleasure of hearing from two of our proud Republican elected officials Senator John Millner and Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider. And there is little doubt that the excitement is back about being a Republican in Schaumburg Township.
Many of our neighbors have stepped forward to serve as volunteers in the precincts and we are looking for more volunteers to help elect quality Republican candidates. We have begun raising money to support our organization and we are eagerly looking forward to joining 5 other Township Republican Organizations to conduct the first ever Northwest Cook County Lincoln Day Dinner to raise money to support Republican building efforts in northwest Cook County. In fact, it is our hope to attract many of the candidates running for President to address our dinner.
We have many good candidates running that I know will make us proud come next November. Most importantly, I know that they will make us believe that it is good to be a Republican.
Sincerely
Michael Adelizzi
Republican Committeeman
