Freedom is
never given,
it is won

A. Philip Randolph

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them,
what they could and should do for themselves.

What's New

  • Precinct Volunteers Needed

The strength of any political organization are the precinct volunteers that go door to door talking with voters and ultimately getting Republican voters to the polls on election day.  Schaumburg Township lists 106 precincts and many precincts need volunteer precinct captains to help us cover them.  There are open precincts in Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, and Schaumburg.

The work is not complicated and is highly rewarding while representing the Republican Party in your neighborhood.  Most precincts have six to eight streets to cover and precinct captains typically go door to door talking with neighbors identifying who are Republicans and who are Democrat voters. Then precinct captains focus on getting Republican voters to vote on election day.

Schaumburg Township has traditionally been a Republican stronghold but has been allowed to weaken from a disinterested leadership. Having dedicated Republicans working in all 106 Township precincts will be invaluable to help elect Republicans on both the national and local level.

Mike

We deserve better!

During a recent interview on the
Big John and Cisco” radio show, Governor Pat Quinn attempted to justify his plan to balance Illinois’ budget by levying an historic 50 percent tax increase on individuals and businesses.

His primary argument for the increase is that businesses are reluctant to set up shop in our state because Illinois is so deeply in debt.

The Governor doesn’t get it.  The real reason more businesses aren’t relocating here is because Illinois-based businesses already shoulder one of the highest tax burdens in the nation.  To remain competitive, savvy business owners migrate to states that have a more favorable business climate and take their jobs with them.

Illinois is ranked 48th in the nation in job creation.  Only Michigan and Ohio are worse.  Don’t you agree that our state’s residents deserve better?

However, until we elect a Republican governor and become the majority party in the Illinois House and Senate, the tax situation is not going to improve. Until we lower taxes, businesses will not be in a position to create more jobs.

The 2010 election promises to be a very exciting campaign cycle.  Strong Republican candidates -- armed with a vision to restore our state’s prosperity through smaller government, reduced regulations and lower taxes -- are already emerging to run for state and county offices.

As Ronald Reagan once asked….”Are you better off today than you were four years ago”?  If the answer is no, then we invite you to join with us to work for an Illinois that will provide hope for a better future.

Sincerely
