ABOUT US
The Schaumburg Township Republican Organization is the recognized Republican Party in Schaumburg Township. We are dedicated to building a strong Party infrastructure committed to electing principled candidates for elected office.
The Schaumburg Township Republican Organization is open to all Republicans and those individuals that can identify with Republican ideals and values of limited government and expanded personal freedoms. We conduct a monthly informational meeting where you can hear elected officials and candidates discuss the issues affecting us at the national, state, and local level.
Goals for 2008
- Build a strong Republican organization to support Republican candidates
- Re-establish the influence of the Republican Party in Schaumburg Township
- Win a Republican majority in all 106 precincts in Schaumburg Township in 2008
- Gain back the 56th & the 44th State Representative seats
- Make the STRO Web site the portal for Republicans and Independents throughout the Township for education and information on issues

STRO Committees
Following is a list of Schaumburg Township Republican Organization Committees along with a brief description of the function of each committee. The functions are only a rough outline and may be revised/expanded over time. Appointments to each committee will serve for a one year period.
Administrative Committee
The Administrative Committee will be responsible for headquarter's administration and operation. They will oversee headquarter's volunteers and office operation. They will also oversee that all meetings held in the headquarters are adequately prepared/staffed.
Candidate Development Committee
The Candidate Development Committee will be responsible for identifying and developing future Republican candidates for elective office. Inclusive of this committee's function is to help serve as a candidate screening committee. Members of this committee will not be considered for endorsement by the STRO for at least one campaign cycle after service to this committee.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee will be responsible for developing the fundraising structure and financial resources of the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization.
Issues Development & Research Committee
The Issues Development & Research Committee will be responsible for identifying issues of importance to the voters in the Township and to formulate positions of the STRO on those issues. In addition, the committee will be responsible for tracking the issues/positions of opposition candidates (including potential opposition candidates).
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee will be primarily responsible for developing the organization's web site and to keep it not only the premier political web site in Illinois but a relevant and current source of information for Republicans in Schaumburg Township. In addition, the committee and its members will be responsible for providing current information to the local media outlets as well as getting Republican issues into the media through sources such as “letters-to-the-editor”. In addition, the committee will also provide photography function at all STRO events for publication in the organization web site, newsletters, and in the print media.
Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee is primarily responsible for coordinating the special events that the STRO will become involved with. Events such as representation in local municipal parades, fests, and meeting planning functions for organization fundraising events will be handled by this committee.
Volunteer Recruitment & Development Committee
The Volunteer Recruitment & Development Committee is responsible for building a strong and engaged volunteer base in the STRO. The primary function is to identify and invite Republican volunteers and to provide orientation and training for each volunteer position within the organization. Inclusive of this committee's function is to develop and train Republican election judges.
