Ryan Higgins, Committeeman
Ryan Higgins is the Republican Committeeman for Schaumburg Township. A seven-year resident of Schaumburg Township, Higgins was the 2010 Republican nominee for Illinois State Representative for the 56th District.
Higgins is an associate of the law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP, where he focuses his legal practice on corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters for healthcare organizations. He also devotes many hours every year to pro bono legal service, including defending the civil and educational rights of special needs children. Higgins earned his J.D. from the Duke University School of Law, where he was elected Editor-in-Chief of a law review, President of the Duke Health Law Society, Chairman of the Duke Law Republicans, and Vice President of the Federalist Society.
Higgins received his B.A. in Government, with a concentration in International Relations, from Dartmouth College. During his college years, Higgins also served as an aide to former U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald (R-IL) in Washington. He is a graduate of William Fremd High School and St. Theresa Catholic School in Palatine.
Higgins lives on Plum Grove Rd. in Schaumburg Township and is Captain of Precinct 64.
