It’s clear that America is under attack.  Not from a traditional enemy that declares war on us from outside our borders, but within our country disguised as fellow Americans.  Watch any news program, surf the internet, even read what’s left of the liberal print media and you will see it playing out right before your eyes, an all-out assault on our freedoms and what’s left of our traditional American way of life.

This assault comes from Washington in the form of a daily barrage of new legislative initiatives such as Card Check, Cap and Trade and health care reform -- along with a systematic government takeover of the auto and financial industries -- have put those of us that pay taxes on our heels. 

In addition, our state government is spending us into oblivion while continuing to raise taxes.  And don’t forget our County government’s effort to take what’s left from our paycheck to fuel a growing cancer of mismanagement and abuse at the county level. 

If you haven’t been paying attention, the barrage is increasing at a frenzied pace as each of these governing bodies tries to get as much of their far left social and environmental agenda implemented before Americans wake up and make a reversal in the 2010 elections.

What common denominator is there between Washington, Illinois and Cook County governments?  It’s an unrestrained majority of Democrats leading all three levels of government.

Have no doubt, Americans are waking up.  Witness the growing number of people who are attending tea parties protesting ever-increasing taxes. Listen to how ordinary people -- regardless of party affiliation and with no political ambition -- are joining the chorus crying out ENOUGH is ENOUGH! 

Shrewd politicians see this trend back to the right as Americans realize that the change that was promised is nothing more than a well choreographed effort to push a left- wing agenda to give our country away… along with our freedom. That’s why our local Democrat State Representative has announced that he would not seek re-election next year… getting out while the getting is good.  Watch, Governor Quinn will give him a plum job that will pad his recently acquired taxpayer-sponsored pension.

It’s time to fight back by becoming active in Schaumburg Township Republicans’ grass-roots effort.  Why not become active in the precinct and support our door-to-door effort to bring messages with common-sense solutions to our problems?

For example, a first step to shrink the size of government and reduce our tax burden is to stop hiring new government employees when current employees quit or retire. 

We need to communicate the message to voters that spending money isn’t the answer the problems we face.  Please join us today and help as much as you can to stop the chaos.
