Illinois Republican State Convention

The 2012 Illinois Republican State Convention will be held June 8 & 9 at the Tinley Park Convention Center in Tinley Park, Illinois.
The Illinois Republican State Convention is Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9 at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Drive, Tinley Park, IL 60477. Based on the number of Republican voters in our township, we can appoint 17 Delegates and 17 Alternate Delegates to the Convention.
If you would like to be appointed as a Delegate or Alternate Delegate to the Convention, please let me know by Friday, May 11. In order to be a Delegate or Alternate Delegate, you must be a registered voter residing in Schaumburg Township and a member of STRO. There is a registration fee of $50 for each Delegate, Alternate Delegate, or Guest, which is payable online. After you e-mail me to express your interest, I'll reply to confirm whether spaces remain, and then at that point you should register online.
For your reference, a schedule of Convention events is available on the registration site. The key event where Delegates and Alternate Delegates cast their votes on party platform and other matters is from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. If you plan to spend Friday night in Tinley Park -- which I may do -- you can request the $139 Convention rate at the Holiday Inn by the Convention Center.
