Schaumburg Township Republican Organization (STRO) conducted its first regularly scheduled monthly meeting at Chandlers

On Saturday September 8th, the re-energized Schaumburg Township Republican Organization (STRO) conducted its first regularly scheduled monthly meeting at Chandlers, in Schaumburg. Over 50 members gathered to eat breakfast, discuss the issues of the day and hear Township Committeeman Mike Adelizzi announce appointments to the STRO Executive Committee, Precinct Captains, and Deputy Committee persons.

An obvious buzz of excitement filled the room as Republicans in Schaumburg Township gathered to discuss the bright future ahead for the new organization.

Following the formal meeting, announced candidates for the Illinois 56th Legislative District (Anita Scott-Forte) and Illinois 44th Legislative District (Peggy Brothman) spoke and answer questions from STRO members. Electing Republicans to these two seats currently held by Democrats is among the organization's top goals. In a surprise statement Aaron Muller announced that he was withdrawing his candidacy and extended his full support to Anita Scott-Forte. Aaron Muller urged all Republicans to live up to the highest standards of integrity and service to the community.

The next STRO meeting will be on October 6th at Chandlers, with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting beginning at 9:00.  Candidates for the 8th Congressional District have been invited to speak. All are welcome!
