Tony Peraica Speaks with STRO

Tony Peraica, candidate for Cook County State’s Attorney, visited with STRO for the April monthly meeting. Tony is currently Cook County Commissioner for the 16th district.

“More corruption. More fraud. More waste. More taxes. It's time for a change”, Tony Peraica began as he addressed the April 5th Schaumburg Township Republican Organization gathering.

"Not so coincidentally, the $426 million that the county optimistically expects to collect each year will also fund somewhere between 700 or 800 new patronage jobs, and maybe more...”

A scathing report from a federal court monitor, released in February, depicts rampant abuse in county hiring practices.

My challenger in this race claims the State's Attorney's office doesn't have enough resources to fight corruption. But I think a few underpaid reporters at our Chicago newspapers have proven that you don't have to look too hard to find the corruption.

If only our State's Attorney uncovered as much corruption as our newspapers. We could have avoided a half-billion dollar tax increase.

Our challenger is a 22-year loyal insider of the State's Attorney's office. She is part of the good 'ol boy network that will bring more of the same to Cook County.

As State's Attorney, Tony Peraica will investigate and fight the corruption that is costing you in higher taxes.
